Cancellations:
No cancellation charges will be assessed prior to production of the item. After production, only the actual costs incurred will be assessed if the item cannot be resold within a six (6) month period.

Restocking Charges: A flat fee of 25% will be assessed for any item returned to the factory along with freight charges to and from the factory. To be returned, the item must be in its original packaging, unopened, and prior written approval must be received from Executive Furniture of Washington, DC, Inc. No restocking is allowed on any specials, special finishes or otherwise modified units.

Freight claims: Executive Furniture of Washington, DC, Inc.’s products are carefully inspected and packed by trained personnel using packing materials that either meet or exceed existing codes for office furniture. The carriers provided for your shipment are used because of low incidence of freight damages historically with our shipments. We fully hope that there will be no damages to your furniture shipment. In the unlikely event that damage may occur, we request that you use the following guidelines to ensure quick and complete resolution to any freight damage related problems that may occur.

Before accepting goods from the carrier, examine and inspect the goods carefully. Should the driver refuse to stay during this inspection, please note this on the bill of lading prior to his leaving. If the shipment arrives damaged, or if the cartons show visible damage, please do the following:

1) Visible carton damages: Note all carton damages on the freight bill or express receipt and make sure that it is signed by the person making the delivery. If possible, inspect the items while the delivery person is there and make further notations concerning the extent of any damages. Inspect all items fully within 15 days of receipt and if further damages are noted, contact customer service immediately.

2) Visible loss damages: Be certain this is noted on the freight bill or express receipt, and signed by the person making the delivery. Contact customer service immediately, regardless of the extent of the damage.

3) Concealed loss or damage: If damage is not noticed until merchandise is unpacked, notify customer service immediately. A concealed damages claim must be filed within 15 calendar days from the date of delivery. Be sure to retain the container for inspection, even though the carton may not show outside damage.

**ALL FREIGHT CLAIMS MUST BE FILED WITHIN 15 CALENDAR DAYS OF RECEIPT OF SHIPMENT. ANY CLAIMS FILED PAST THAT TIME WILL BE VOID.
**DO NOT DESTROY OR DISPOSE OF PACKING MATERIALS UNTIL AUTHORIZED.
**DO NOT REMOVE THE PRODUCT FROM THE RECEIVING LOCATION UNLESS AUTHORIZED. DOING SO WILL RESULT IN DENIAL OF FREIGHT DAMAGE CLAIM.

Seating on GS-28F-026AA: 
Seating products will be free from defects in workmanship given normal conditions for a period of ten years of single shift service. Exceptions to the warranty include:

  • Abuse in any form
  • Wearing of textile or coverings
  • Carrier damage
  • Swivel bases or mechanisms ( 5 years). Gas lifts (2 years)
  • Recliner mechanisms, mattresses and casters (2 years)

The factory reserves the right to repair or replace any part that is determined to be defective within the terms of this warranty.

 

Returns/Repairs

No merchandise may be returned or repaired without prior authorization from Executive Furniture of Washington, DC, Inc. A Return Authorization (RA) number must be secured prior to the return of any product. The RA must be used within 30 days of issuance.

In the event that you receive furniture damaged in transit or shortages, do not refuse the shipment. Note all discrepancies on the bill of lading, retain all cartons, take pictures of the cartons and damaged product and immediately notify us at efwdc@efwdc.com.   You do not need to file a freight claim, we will handle the repair for you.

Freight damage returns must be picked up and redelivered to the original ship-to address. Charges related to redelivery to the final destination are not the responsibility of Executive Furniture of Washington, DC, Inc.

Product being returned to the factory for repair or replacement will be thoroughly inspected on its return and the results compared to the reason for the return stated. Any discrepancies such as additional damage, signs of misuse, etc. will result in adjustment to the repair or replacement agreement previously agreed upon. These adjustments include but are not limited to reimbursement to Executive Furniture of Washington, DC, inc. for freight charges, labor and materials.

NOTE: We are only responsible for the pick-up and delivery to and from the original destination. We are not responsible for any additional charges you may incur.

The factory warrants to the original end user that this product will be free from defects in its material and workmanship, subject to limitations as expressed below. The company will repair or replace, at its option without charge to the original purchaser only, defective products or parts during the following warranty periods:

This warranty shall be effective for the applicable time period beginning from date of purchase as shown on your original receipt or other proof of purchase. This warranty is your sole remedy for product defects and excludes defects due to or arising in connection with product abuse or misuse, user modifications of, or attachments to the product, including application of your own upholstery materials and products or parts not used, maintained or installed in accordance with the company’s installation, maintenance, and/or applicable guidelines.

550 Generous Fit
Coverage Period: 15 years. Limitations: Users weight is not to exceed 550 lbs. Intensive Use of a 24 Hour Workday with a 7 Day Work Week.

400 Intensive Use
Coverage Period: 15 years. Limitations: Users weight is not to exceed 350 lbs. Intensive Use of a 24 Hour Workday with a 7 Day Work Week.

300 Everyday
Coverage Period: Lifetime (which is the entire time owned by the original end user). Limitations: Users weight is not to exceed 300 lbs. Normal Use of an 8 Hour Workday with a 5 Day Work Week.

Standard Textiles
Coverage Period: 3 Years from Date of Purchase. Limitations: Normal Use as determined by textile manufacturer’s guidelines.

10 Year Textiles (Including Mesh & Codura Nylon)
Coverage Period: 10 Years from Date of Purchase. Limitations: Normal Use as determined by textile manufacturer’s guidelines.

Arm Pads
Urethane and Gel Pads
Coverage Period: 5 years from Date of Purchase. Limitations: Normal Use.

Cordura Nylon Pads
Coverage Period: 10 Years from Date of Purchase. Limitations: Normal Use.

Warranty Service

If this product fails during normal use, as set forth in limitations above, within the applicable coverage period, please send a description of the relevant part, together with proof of purchase of the product to:

We will repair, or at our option replace, the defective part, free of charge to the purchaser, provided only that the purchaser returns said parts to Executive Furniture of Washington, DC, Inc., freight or other shipping charges prepaid. Do not return any parts or product without prior written authorization from Executive Furniture of Washington, DC, Inc. The company reserves the right to inspect any part or product to determine the nature of the defect and it is the purchaser’s responsibility to return that part or product to the manufacturer at his/her expense for warranty determination.

There are no other warranties, express or implied, other than those specifically described, including without limitation any implied warranty or merchantability or of fitness for a particular purpose. We will not be responsible for incidental or consequential damages, and/or off-site labor charges. Our company will advise you of the procedure to follow when making warranty claims. Call customer service at 301-622-9584 to explain the defect. Give your name, address and telephone number. Please be prepared with the model number, date of purchase and date of manufacture found under the seat.
